Baymont inn is close to the 61st street and about 350 meters from the beach. Gulf view is near impossible but the resort quality is admirable. 
There is easy access to parking along the Galveston seawall. Except farther down the east side. The Golden Corrals restaurant is a great asset to the hotel. A cost efficient place to eat. Other restaurants near the resort are Waffle House, Popeyes, McDonalds and Tortuga Mexican Kitchen. The location of the hotel is favorable for tourists going on cruises or visiting attraction sites.
